October. Conference 10 years of outsourcing in Ukraine (Kyiv. Ukraine)

On 23 October 2012 the conference “10 years of outsourcing in Ukraine: Realities and Trends” was organised by ACCA and EBS in Kyiv, Ukraine and was marked with the 10-year anniversary of the launch of outsourcing services at EBS. In course of the event, attended by more than 50 people, the tendencies of outsourced services and their development in Ukraine were discussed.

Helen Volska, Managing Partner and Director of EBS, opened the conference with a welcome speech in which she greeted the participants and presented EBS and ACCA as co-organisers of this event. Helen noted that EBS was the first company to provide outsourcing services in Ukraine.

Olena Levshun, Partner of Accounting Outsourcing and Financial Management Practice at EBS, followed with a speech in which she congratulated ACCA for global research on outsourcing as well as for recently organised event on shared services and outsourcing in Ukraine. Olena outlined the future of outsourcing in Ukraine by effectiveness of back-office functions, “collective intellect”, company process improvements and higher competition that benefits the client.
 
Henning Drager, Relationship Manager of International Integrated Reporting Council, on behalf of ACCA greeted EBS with 10 years of outsourcing operations in Ukraine. He presented ACCA’s research Finance transformation: expert insights on shared services and outsourcing, with its main messages: no turning back from outsourcing and shared services, cost being the starting point of transformation, provider’s service provision and flexibility as factors that attract clients, need for scope expectations balance between providers and clients. Henning also encouraged the attendees to contribute their feedback for ACCA Research and Insight programme, in order for the latter to include larger proportion of Ukrainian and CEE perspective on its global agenda.

Among the other key participants were Yuriy Yekhanurov, Member of Parliament and former Prime Minister of Ukraine, Nataliya Vasilenko, CFO of Deagostini Russia and CIS, Andriy Shabo, Finance director of Michelin Ukraine, Elena Zgortyuk, Deputy Head of Accounting Outsourcing Practice at EBS.

EBS is a leading management consultancy and accountancy outsourcing company in Ukraine. In 2012 it has launched outsourcing services provision, being at the origins of outsourcing business in Ukraine. EBS has near 60 key outsourcing clients in Ukraine, including IBM, Nokia, Western Union, Michelin, Wizz Air, European Business Association, American Chamber of Auditors, etc.
