April. IFRS Transition Training (Kiev. Ukraine)
On 23 - 25 April 2012 ACCA organised the training “Transformation of Financial Statements under Ukrainian GAAP into IFRS using Excel” that took place in Kyiv, Ukraine. The 3-day training was conducted by HOCK Training Ukraine’s tutor Zoya Vinnyk, practicing certified auditor of Ukraine.
This free of charge training was attended by nearly 20 representatives of ACCA Approved Employers (industrial sector) and leading economic universities. The attendees learned the two options for restatement of financial statements under Ukrainian GAAP into IFRS financial statements. They also acquired the practical skills for such restatement using the techniques of MS Excel software. The accent was made on practical side of transformation, with only 10% of time devoted to theoretical part.
Nataliya Vovchuk, Head of ACCA Ukraine, Baltic and Caucasus States, said: “ACCA welcomes Ukrainian transition to IFRS, effective from 1 January 2012 for public corporations, banks, insurers and companies with certain types of economic activities. We were the first major body to qualify accountants in IFRS and we will continue supporting the transformation process in Ukraine and globally too.”
