The 3rd all-Ukrainian theoretical and practical conference “Theory and practice of strategic management of sectoral and regional social systems development” supported by ACCA Ukraine, Baltic and Caucasus States was held by National Technical University of Oil and Gas on 21-22 October 2011 in Ivano-Frankovsk, Ukraine.

During the conference six workshops were conducted:

• Development of theory of economical, technological and social development strategic management
• Role and place of intellectual resources in strategic development of sectoral and regional social systems
• Strategic dimension of economics and management in oil and gas industry
• Accounting and audit in strategic management
• Practice of usage of sectoral social systems development strategic management’s methods, technologies and instruments
• Practice of usage of regional social systems development strategic management’s methods, technologies and instruments 

The workshop “Accounting and audit in strategic management” was aimed at accounting and audit improvement in Ukraine and harmonization with international standards’ requirements. The issues discussed were as the following:

• Present and future of accounting system in Ukraine
• Information resources of a company accounting system during its strategic development
• Management accounting as a system of information support of a company competitive tactics
• Problems of taxation harmonization in Ukraine: current situation and opportunities for change
• Audit in a system of a company strategic management
