September. Day of Knowledge 2011 (Kiev. Ukraine)
On September 01, 2011 key Ukrainian universities specialized in finance were provided with special supporting accountancy education materials aimed to help students, lecturers and tutors in their study and research work and based on ACCA materials and exposure drafts of the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB). Students and lectors were invited to join the international discussion on changing International Education Standard (IES) 1, Entry Requirements to Professional Accounting Education, by providing comments to the exposure draft issued in June 2011. The document was translated into Russian and together with ACCA researches for 2010-11 added to CDs delivered to the universities.
Nataliya Vovchuk, Head of ACCA Ukraine, Baltic and Caucasus States said: “ACCA Ukraine office team prepared special CDs with supporting accountancy education materials and invited universities representatives to join international discussions for the third year on end. Such initiative is dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and aimed to keep educational institutions informed on changes of international educational standards and provide their students and lectors with high quality materials in English”.
