April. Presentation Changes to ACCA Qualification. Foundations in Accountancy (Kiev. Ukraine)

On April 18, 2011 the Presentation “Changes to ACCA Qualification.  Foundations in Accountancy” was held by Business Education Alliance (BEA), ACCA licensed CBE Center, with ACCA Ukraine support at BEA’s office, Kiev, Ukraine.

Participants had an opportunity to expand horizons in accountancy education, find out about ACCA new suit of awards Foundations in Accountancy and changes to ACCA Qualification.

The presentation was attended by current ACCA students and those who wish to start their journey with ACCA. The new entry-level suite of awards and diplomas can be achieved by ACCA students became the subjects of particular interest.

Foundation in Accountancy was introduced after detailed consultations with all ACCA stakeholders, including employers, learning providers, professional accountancy bodies, students and members. It was designed to prepare those wishing to move to professional level, or to provide recognition and reward to people working in accounting support roles.

Nataliya Vovchuk, Head of ACCA Ukraine, Baltic and Caucasus States, said: ‘Employers need competent and ethical technicians, trained to consistent standards, with built-in flexibility to allow for skills to be tailored to meet various business needs and environments as well as students starting out in their accounting careers and wishing to progress to professional status need documented proof to show potential employers of their level of ability when they are progressing to professional status. Foundation in Accountancy satisfies these demands. It is a new suite of awards, introduced in January 2011. We hope Ukrainian market will see Foundation in Accountancy in proper perspective’.
