October.The Days of British Education 2009 (Riga. Latvia and Tallinn. Estonia)
The International education exhibition “The Days of British Education 2009” took place on October 2-3, 2009 in Riga Reval Hotel Latvia and October 4-5, 2009 in Tallinn Reval Hotel Olympia, Estonia.
Supported by the British Councils, the British Embassies, the British Chambers of Commerce, educational agency Meridian Group and Estonian and Latvian mass media this event was aimed to provide information to potential students from Baltic States about the diverse range of courses in UK with opportunities for personal and professional development and achievement.
At “The Days of British Education” universities, colleges, schools and language centres of the highest quality met face to face with well motivated students and local agents.
This event gave the opportunity to evaluate the Baltic region potential and recruit the prospective students.
Within “The Days of British Education”, on October 3, 2009 the ACCA Event "Path to the top - best practice leadership developments for finance professionals" was held.
"Path to the top - best practice leadership developments for finance professionals" is an ACCA report presented by Dr. Nataliya Vovchuk, Head of ACCA Ukraine, Baltic and Caucasus States.
This report, based on a substantial global survey of finance professionals, explored such issues as the factors shaping leadership roles in finance; the experience, skills and qualities required to become a finance leader; the steps organizations are taking to support leadership development for finance professionals and how effective they are; and, finally, are there any common paths to the top and if so, what are they?
