Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors receives 3 exemptions from ACCA
On the 2nd of April the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors (LCA) was given the certificate endorsing the right for 3 exemptions from the ACCA Qualification.
The holders of Auditor’s Certificate of the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors (LCA), graduating from 2008, will receive 3 exemptions from the ACCA Qualification, namely for papers F1, F2 and F4. This successful decision resulted from a year-long preparation and discussions between LCA and ACCA.
The corresponding certificate, endorsing the right for 3 exemptions with ACCA, was granted to the president of LCA Genadijus Makusevas by the Head of ACCA Ukraine, Baltic and Caucasus states Nataliya Vovchuk on the 2nd of April, during the Lithuanian CPD event for ACCA members and other interested parties.
LCA has operated in Lithuania since 2000. On 16 December 2004 the General Assembly of European Federation of Accountants (FEE) approved the LCA membership as member correspondent. At present LCA unifies more than 400 auditors and 200 audit firms in Lithuania. The aforementioned event marks the new stage of mutual recognition between LCA and ACCA. Currently LCA is reviewing its syllabus in order to meet the latest IFAC requirements.
