Croydon network dines at the House of Commons
Friday 27 April 2012

How well do you know your local MP?  Croydon panel know their's well enough for him to sponsor them for a dinner at the House of Commons.  Gavin Barwell MP greeted Croydon members and their guests, conducted two separate tours of both parliamentary Chambers and gave the after dinner speech.  The MP for Croydon Central, Gavin was raised and educated in Croydon so his anecdotes were particularly relevant to the audience of ACCA members and guests.

Whilst the event was a wonderful opportunity to meet and talk with fellow professionals it was also a celebration in recognition of the 9 years of service to the Network given by the four Croydon members leaving the panel this year.  In fact, looking further back, to their time as a District Society, two of these panel members have been contributing and shaping the Croydon agenda for more than 30 years each.  Bala Balachandran said they were deservedly going out with a bang and wished the new panel every success for the future.
