There are many different types of sustainability disclosure and many methods to disseminate it, however the most common approach is to publish an annual sustainability or CSR report. There is a move towards integrated reporting , which combines an organisation's financial reporting with its sustainability reporting.

Other methods of sustainability disclosure include: meetings, public events, forums, reports, newsletters, magazines, posters, advertising, letters, voicemail, live performance, video, websites, podcasts (website audio broadcast), blogs (website discussion forums), product inserts and labels.
