Deloitte & Touche Botswana Awarded Platinum Accreditation
Deloitte & Touche is the first organisation in Botswana to become an Platinum Accredited Employer. This is in recognition of Deloitte's performance in meeting ACCA's statements of best practice in training and development in 6 key areas - study support, work experience, supervision, appraisal, training records and continuing development of staff.
Deloitte & Touche staff have had outstanding success in the ACCA examinations, and so far 18 of their staff have achieved ACCA membership. Jasmine Lassen of ACCA's Education Department said in presenting the award to John Stevens, "Deloitte & Touche have been awarded this Platinum Status because they have clearly demonstrated organisational commitment to the training and development of their finance professionals"
Deloitte & Touche have an ongoing training programme for the twenty Batswana who are preparing for careers in auditing and professional accountancy. The training includes examination preparation (through Botswana Accountancy College) for examinations, on the job training and formal procedures training.
