11 Affiliates for Swaziland

Swaziland has produced eleven ACCA affiliates from the last two examination sessions. This is good news for the country considering the slow growth that has been experienced in the past years.

Students in Swaziland can now see that the ACCA qualification is achievable. Thanks to the co-ordinated effort of the ACCA Southern Africa Regional office, Swaziland Institute of Accountants and the Swaziland ACCA Student Committee. The revision sessions organised for students in the past two years are definitely paying off. Further revision sessions will be organised in the future to assist more students to fast track their qualification route.

The recent accreditation of two colleges in Swaziland under the University and College Registration Scheme (UCRS), will ensure quality tuition for students in the country. The two colleges: Swaziland College of Technology (SCOT), offering CAT and the Swaziland Institute of Management and Public Accountants (SIMPA) offering both CAT and the professional qualification, have undertaken to offer the much needed support for students.

The eleven graduates will be honoured at a graduation ceremony to be held on the 6th October 2003 in Johannesburg.
