ACCA Local Executive Committee 2011/2012

At the 68th Annual General Meeting held on 1 June 2011, the Local Executive Committee appointed a new member, Mr Chinnu Palanivelu. Mr Palanivelu is an audit manager at BDO LLP and hopes to contribute to ACCA by encouraging and supporting affiliates as they make a transition to membership.  ACCA Singapore welcomes Mr Palanivelu and looks forward to working with the LEC President, Mr Kaka Singh and his team in the year ahead. Preparing ahead for membership!

ACCA held a Trainee Development Matrix (TDM) Workshop on 28 June 2011 with more than 150 students and affiliates in attendance. The workshop explained what the Practical Experience Requirements (PER) are and demonstrated the use of the TDM as a recording tool. The objective of the workshop was to better prepare ACCA trainees for membership. Members with ACCA trainees under their supervision are encouraged to support them in their preparation towards ACCA membership.

ACCA Young Professionals Network – I want to be a… Big Four Partner

ACCA is organising a Young Professionals Network on 21 July 2011 focusing on the role of the Big Four Partner. The aim is to support trainees in their career development by providing details that will help them make informed decisions regarding their career. The session, which looks at the typical pathways and skills required for the role, also looks at the part ACCA membership plays in helping an individual succeed. The Young Professionals Network is targeted at ACCA affiliates and students preparing for their professional papers. Members are encouraged to support their ACCA trainees in achieving their membership goals.
