ACCA Singapore Accountants for Business Forum 2012

Industry experts unanimously agreed at the recently held ACCA Singapore Accountants for Business Forum 2012 that investing in talent is key to driving business success as these professionals bring diverse skills, knowledge, experiences and capabilities to the workplace.

Though cost cutting measures and ensuring sustainable business growth weigh high on a CFO’s to do list, the need to train and develop an effective finance team is of equal importance.
Implementing a one-size fits all type of competency framework will not work. Changing the way people do their job and changing the way that finance interacts with the organisation takes a much more structured and coherent plan of action.

ACCA-Deloitte Forum 2012

A forum organized by ACCA Singapore and Deloitte Singapore attracted over 130 attendees from the big 4 accounting firms, and other multinational companies across a wide variety of industries.

The forum also discussed some of the key findings of the survey jointly conducted by both organisations entitled - ACCA-Deloitte 2012 Survey: Impact of New/ Revised IFRS/FRS on Singapore Listed Companies.
