CFO Executive Board launches Finance Leadership Academy in Singapore
“The Finance Leadership Academy is a professional development program that aims to upskill high potential finance managers and address the talent needs of progressive companies. It is offered by the Corporate Executive Board (NYSE:EXBD), a leading research and advisory organization that connects senior executives with best practice insights.
Conversations with CFOs reveal that the following are the greatest areas of underperformance for finance staff - Finance Coaching, Responsiveness, Business Relevance, Decision Support, Relationship Building, Strategic Focus and Business Case Development.
Through a classroom setting, participants and facilitators have the opportunity to discuss and share practitioner-knowledge and experience among each other. The focus will be on building commercial skills necessary to increase strategic business partnerships and develop the next generation of finance leaders.

Employers rate ACCA as the leading global accountancy body : Independent Research
An independent survey of 1,300 employers in 20 countries has found that ACCA is widely recognised for its global reach and its leading perspective on issues facing the accountancy profession. This is supported by ACCA’s global network of 83 offices and centres, more than 71 global accountancy partnerships, extensive alliances with learning partners and exam centres.
ACCA’s relevance to employers around the world can be seen in the growth in its global membership, which now stands at over 147,000 members, compared with 140,000 last year – an increase of five per cent. ACCA’s worldwide student base has reached 424,000 compared with 404,000 this time last year.

ACCA invited to Credit Suisse Career Talk
ACCA Singapore was invited by Credit Suisse to present on the ACCA qualification to staff of the product control and financial accounting divisions. Darryl Wee, Country Head of ACCA Singapore presented on the benefits and uniqueness of the qualification. Staff of the ACCA Singapore office were also present to provide advice to Credit Suisse staff who were interested to know more about the ACCA qualification.
Transformational Leadership Workshop: Winning the Battle for Talent
As a follow-up to a highly successful preview session, ACCA Singapore organised a 2-day workshop on ‘Transformational Leadership’ by Roger Konopasek. Roger worked closely with participants to provide a practical, implementable strategy that will transform how their teams and organisations work in future.
One of the participants said, 'Despite a small group of participants, the 2 days session was an interesting one with lots of laughter.'
