The Singapore Qualification Programme - Transitional Arrangements

The impending launch of the Singapore Qualification Programme - Singapore QP - in June 2013 is one of the key initiatives in transforming Singapore into a leading global accountancy hub.

ACCA will be signing a Letter of Intent with the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) in April 2013 that will establish an intention to explore a reciprocal membership agreement (RMA) between ACCA and ICPAS that will administer the Singapore QP. Details on the RMA will be announced in due course.

From now till then, transitional arrangements have been agreed upon to allow for ACCA members, affiliates and students to become a Chartered Accountant of Singapore (CA Singapore).

Register Now! ACCA Singapore Annual Conference 2013:
Diversity - A Competitive Advantage in Uncertain Times

The economy is expected to remain sluggish this year with weak external demand. In this subdued but still unpredictable economic climate, diversity has become more than a recruitment requirement. Today, diversity is increasingly seen as critical to the success of any business.

More than just a consideration of gender, ethnic background and education, diversity now encompasses not only visible differences, but things that make people unique: life and work experiences, views, opinions and beliefs.

The ACCA Singapore Annual Conference 2013 will be held on Wednesday, 22 May 2013 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. The conference will explore how diversity can assist businesses in building resilience in this uncertain and challenging economic climate and prepare them for opportunities that lie ahead. It will also examine how harnessing diversity can help in overseas expansions and improve the effectiveness and productivity of finance and audit departments.
