High Achievers Award Ceremony

Over 400 guests attended the British Council High Achievers Awards Ceremony held at Marque Hall, Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore on 21 February 2007. This ceremony was scheduled to reward and recognize the achievements of all O Level and A Level students from Cambridge and Edexcel Board, CAT and ACCA students in Pakistan for scoring highest marks in each examination in Pakistan and worldwide.

 

In her opening remarks Sue Beaumont, Director British Council Pakistan congratulated all the students for their brilliant achievement.  Ms. Beaumont said, “The success of these students cannot be celebrated without highlighting the efforts put in by their tutors, institutions and continuous support by their parents.”

 

Mr. Allen Field talked to the students and institutions about the latest developments of Edexcel and congratulated them for their hard work. Mr. Arif Masud Mirza, Head of ACCA Pakistan congratulated the ACCA and CAT placewinners in Pakistan and talked about the career opportunities available for them.

 

Certificates were presented to the high achievers of University of London, ACCA and Edexcel by the representatives from their respective boards. The presentation of certificates was followed by the group photographs.

 

The ceremony concluded by a word of thanks by Darrin Vardon, Director Examinations Pakistan who thanked the students, BC staff and other guests who attended the ceremony.
