The first match on day 1 was contested between NCBA&E and SKANS Multan in which SKANS Multan batted first and scored 84 runs in six overs. NCBAE won the match by 8 wickets and qualified for the semi final. The second match was played between CFE and Ascend; in which CFE scored 97 runs and won the match by 20 runs. The Team B of PAC won the third match by 10 wickets from PAC team A. The last match of day one was contested between SKANS Lions and Tigers, which was finally won by SKANS Lions after a very exciting and nail biting match.
On day 2, the first semi final of eight overs each was contested between NCBA&E and PAC Team B. NCBA&E won the match by 53 runs and qualified for the final. The most exciting match of the evening was the second semi final played between CFE and SKANS Lions. CFE scored 100 runs at the loss of 5 wickets; where as SKANS Lions managed to reach the target at the loss of six wickets. As per the guidelines provided by ACCA Pakistan; CFE was declared the winner on the basis of wickets fallen.
The final match was played between NCBA&E and CFE. The defending team “CFE” batted first and scored 126 for the loss of two wickets in eight overs. NCBA&E could only score 94 in eight over for the loss of seven wickets. Therefore CFE was declared the winner of 2007 ACCA Pakistan Intercollegiate Cricket tournament for the second year in succession.
Mr. Maudood Jafri, Director Sports Board Punjab, the Chief Guest of the event presented a certificate to Mr. Mubeen Tahir from SKANS School of Accountancy for being the GOLD sponsor of this year’s tournament. Mr. Hamid Ikram Chairman Community Services & Events sub-committee distributed the following prizes
