Blood Camp at SKMCH&RC

It is a common perception that accountants are number crunchers only but ACCA does not agree with this statement because besides professional studies we involve our student and members in community services and make them understand their responsibility towards the society.

A group of ACCA students were invited by Shaukat Khanam Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center (SKMCH&RC) on Wednesday, 11 April 2007 to visit their Hospital, meet young cancer patients at Shaukat Khanam Hospital and see how they have been provided best medical facilities.

ACCA students were very warmly received by the SKMCH&RC team and were taken for the visit to different departments of the hospital that includes Radiology, Surgery, Pathology, Medical Oncology, etc. The students then met the children at the children ward and presented them small gifts on behalf of ACCA Pakistan.

They were then taken to the bleeding section of the hospital where all students voluntarily donated their blood for the deserving cancer patients at the hospital.

ACCA students were also privileged by having a photo opportunity with Mr. Abid Hussain, Acting Director Marketing and Resource Development, SKMCH&RC. All students appreciated the voluntary work done by Shaukat Khanam Cancer Hospital and supported their slogan “Cancer is Curable”.
