Member support

ACCA Membership
Member Services offers counseling for affiliates to assist them to submit application for full membership. Member Services will be able to advise and assess the acceptability of the affiliates' practical experience during the counseling sessions. The Membership Application form will then be forwarded to the Qualification Committee in the United Kingdom for consideration to membership.

FCCA Membership
From 1 January 2002, ACCA fellowship (FCCA) will be available through an 'accelerated' scheme based on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements. The aims are to add value to the FCCA designation and to further underline ACCA's commitment to lifelong learning.

Fellow certificates are sent to ACCA Malaysia Office where certificates will be presented biannually in December and May. Fellow members who are not able to attend the reception will receive their certificates by post.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
CPD training programmes are organised to ensure that accountants' skills are being upgraded and developed as a life-long learning process. These programmes ensure that Chartered Certified Accountants in Malaysia are up-to-date with the latest relevant professional and personal skills ACCA has developed the Professional Development Manual to help members plan their CPD effectively and to apply their learning outcomes to their practical working environment.

Practical Experience Requirement (PER)
Becoming an ACCA-qualified accountant does not just involve passing your exams and completing an ethics module, you also need to complete practical experience. It helps you to demonstrate to potential employers that you can apply your knowledge to the workplace and have practical skills. You can gain your practical experience before, during or after you complete your exams, but at the same time is preferable.
