ACCA Ireland provides a Technical Advisory Service which provides guidance to all members, whether in practice or employed in the corporate or public sectors, on a range of matters. These include the applicability of auditing/financial reporting standards, practice and company law matters. The service also provides guidance on interpretation of the ACCA's Rules of Professional Conduct and ethics issues generally.

The Technical Advisory Service is not, designed to provide consultancy support. While it may be able, for example, to provide guidance on the constraints placed on an auditor by a particular auditing or financial reporting standard but decisions as to whether or not to qualify a particular set of accounts would remain the judgement of the Auditor in question

The service is operated by Aidan Clifford with support from ACCA Global advisory services in London and Hong Kong. Aidan Clifford is a full time employee of ACCA with in excess of 15 years professional experience and 10 years experience in advisory services.
