Executive search firms in Europe

Since 1997, ACCA has pursued discussions with a number of executive search firms in key EU states with a view to providing assistance to Members seeking career opportunities in accountancy and finance. Executive search firms, many belonging to international recruitment groups, have now been appointed in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany. Efforts continue to be made around Europe by ACCA's Head of European Affairs, aimed at ensuring that prospective employers and head-hunters are made aware of the value of ACCA's global qualification.

ACCA operates from a position of strength on mainland Europe, being the only professional accountancy/audit body deploying a numerically strong, international composition of members, with global perspectives and work experience. In addition, the introduction of the IAS track has added a distinct advantage to the ACCA's qualification in Europe, as many EU corporations adopt international accounting principles, thus triggering demand for IAS-trained accountants.

Recent discussions with existing executive search firms in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf confirms the interest in ACCA's global qualification from the perspective of leading recruitment firms.
