When does your hobby become a trade?
|Event:||When does your hobby become a trade?|
The seminar aims to cover the simple question of “When Does your Hobby become a Trade?”
The seminar answers this question by using examples from Ebay/online trading, sports, music and writing. It will provide an insight into when you could give your job up to “live off” your hobby or when your clients could do so. Additionally it will also cover how you will be taxed in the period whilst you are looking to establish your trading business whilst also holding down a job.
Mac will also cover the taxation of a hobby business/“sports sponsorship” expenses claimed by a Limited Company based on actual tax cases.
Andrew (Mac) McKenzie-Smart is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants as well as a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser & member of the ICAEW.
