FREE EVENT - L.O.V.E. Presenting

Event: FREE EVENT - L.O.V.E. Presenting

One of the most important skills that will impact our careers is the ability to manage our nerves, speak clearly and present confidently in public. To be able to paint pictures, to influence, and explain our ideas and get buy-in from our staff, team or clients is essential.
In spite of that, feeling nervous or lacking confidence in certain contexts is incredibly common. If this sounds familiar therefore, you should know that you are not alone. When it comes to presenting in public, various “opinion polls” have found it to be more worrying than death! Thankfully there is something that can be done about it. Presenting is a skill and like any skill, it can be improved.

In this skills session we will explore the following four main areas:

Language – how to create more impact.
Organisation – a simple way to plan.
Voice – using it.
Evaluation – developing our skills.

Matthew Broomhead is a “Quirky” Consulting Coach who spent seven years employed in a corporate I.T. company before changing career and moved from fixing problems with computers, to fixing performance issues with people. Matthew works with a variety of people from SME’s to senior Leaders within the Common Purpose Leadership programmes. He was one of a few Business Mentors to be invited onto the 2011 and 2012 Launch Panels at The Prince’s Trust. He is Education Advisor for the Birmingham International Speakers Club and is passionate about learning and that there are no secrets in business, only skills that can be learnt.
