Fiona joined the life and pensions industry in 1989 as a trainee consultant for Eagle Star. She was a founder member of Scottish Equitable’s Sales Training team, eventually progressing to IFA Training Manager. She has represented Scottish Life since March 2004, promoting their pensions expertise to the IFA market place, and assisting IFAs with developments in pensions legislation and regulation. During 2012 she delivered over 100 seminars to IFAs and their professional introducers.
Fiona is qualified as a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute. She presents on all areas of pension planning, with a recent focus on at retirement planning, pension switching and the Retail Distribution Review.
In May 20111 The Pensions Regulator (TPR) published 172 pages of detailed on workplace pension reform. This presentation provides an overview of the actions which employers must take and highlights the key action points which should form the basis of an employer’s implementation plan.

Speaker - Trevor Buckle MA FCII APFS Chartered Financial Planner, SG Holding & Partners
Trevor has been working in financial services since 1982, when he joined Barclays Life Assurance Company as an adviser following a period as a teacher. In 1984 he joined Standard Life as a broker consultant, and in 1994 joined the Training Department as Regional Training Consultant for the North of England. In 1998 he left Standard Life and joined SG Holding & Partners as an IFA. Since 1996 Trevor has been involved with the professional examinations run by the Chartered Insurance Institute, acting as a question setter and examiner for their various pension examinations.
Trevor will look at the role of the IFA in the Auto Enrolment process, including: - helping with the selection of a provider - the design of a suitable pension arrangement to cater for different classes of employee - the communication of the solution to the workforce - implementation of a scheme
