Event

During the next two years the Scottish public will be asked to consider the question of independence and whether Scotland’s economic interests are best served within the United Kingdom or outside it.
There are conflicting indicators yet some reports suggest economic confidence is growing amongst Scottish companies who have experienced a better start to 2012 than 2011.

However, the recovery remains slow.

Whether Scotland ultimately votes to leave or remain within the Union the Scottish business community must drive economic growth now – but where will Scotland’s economic growth come from?
The assembled panel of speakers will give their own views and debate this topic along with other questions such as:

  • How well placed is Scotland to achieve this growth as a country?
    and
  • How much of a global focus does Scotland have?
