Barbora Rotterová and Roman Vokálek would like to share with you their rich experience in the field of recruitment of management in the Czech Republic. This will be from the point of view of an experienced senior HR manager and an experienced consultant, as well as someone who was a candidate not long ago. After a short presentation about how we go about recruitment and how we perceive the job market now, there will be an open forum when we can discuss various issues such as personal marketing, how to work with personnel consultancies, and what to expect from them, what do candidates look for, ethics and discretion, references, interviews, tests ...etc.

Barbora has a background in human resources; she qualified and spent a part of her career in Great Britain working for the BBC, EMI Music (THORN EMI), and also as a Human Resources Director for Unisys and Bristol-Myers Squibb in the Czech Republic. Barbora has been engaged in executive search since 1998; she worked as a Senior Consultant with Amrop Hever Group. She was involved in search and selection of middle, senior and top management, as well as with coaching and carrying out assessments for Czech and international companies. Barbora is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) in Great Britain and is active in the area of human resources in the Czech Republic.
Her specialisation is in the field of IT, telecommunications, finance, HR, pharmaceutical industry and general management, and is the founding member of TOPSEARCH.
Roman started his professional career with Procter & Gamble as a Sales Representative progressing to the post of Sales Manager.
Later on, he decided to embark on a career in HR, as a Learning and Development Manager firstly with Pepsi-Cola, and then with Jan Becher where he reached the post of Human Resources Director. This was followed by an engagement with Deloitte where in his role of Human Capital Advisory Services Manager he lead a team of consultants in a greenfield project for the Toyota Peugeot and Citroen Automotive company, TPCA.
Roman´s next major, long term HR engagement as a Human Resources and Legal and Compliance Director was with AXA Czech Republic and Slovakia. Here he had the opportunity to work on international projects, including the acquisitions in Romania and Bulgaria. He was a member of the AXA´s Board of Directors, as well as participated in the Management Board of the Association of banks and insurance companies in the Czech Republic.
At present, Roman is a member of the Faurecia team with responsibility for human resources management for two manufacturing plants.
