Martin gained experience from audit department of PwC, where he worked from 2000. In 2005, Martin became the CSOB Director of Financial Markets Support Department. In 2007, he was appointed as head of the newly created Operations Division in CSOB. Since 2009, Martin has held the positions of Deputy Director General for Finance and Member of the Board of Hypotecni banka.

In 2012, the Club of CFOs awarded Martin Vasek the prize „Talent of the Year“. The Board of the Club of CFOs recognized in particular Martin’s contribution to Hypotecni banka’s outstanding business results in 2011.
