Graduation Ceremony 2008, Prague

This year's Graduation Ceremony, held on 21 May at the new venue of Czech Republic's Autoclub, celebrated the success of all graduates who passed their last exams in June and December 2007. In her opening speech, Katka Benesova, Head of ACCA Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, said: "Our 6.1% global member growth was our strongest to date. Czech Republic now belongs to the 20 largest markets for ACCA members." Roger Acton, Director of ACCA Europe, congratulated each of the 104 graduates, presenting them with certificates for their achievement.

June 2007 exam sitting was a record breaking one for ACCA. Yet, many Czech students scored the highest mark in their exams. 24,357 students sat Paper 2.4. in that session. Ludvik Svoboda scored 85 marks and was 4th in the world. At the end of the ceremony, a lucky winner received a prize for guessing the closest number of students taking Paper 2.4.
