Interest group for Asia Pacific
The Asia Pacific Interest Group, which looks at accounting topics and trends affecting the Asia Pacific region, has been running successfully since 2011. We hold monthly sessions exploring a diverse range of topics, from culture and location (China, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Africa) to global economy (EU Financial Crisis), and from regional development (the Asian Century) to domestic policies (Carbon Tax, Workforce Competitiveness).
To increase our focus and enable more insightful dialogue, each session is presented by a specialist in an aspect pertaining to the Asia Pacific region, and will give a short presentation to set the scene, followed by facilitated discussion.
Events planned for 2013:
Wed 20 Feb Asian Century (followed by a Chinese dinner)
Wed 24 Apr Federal Election
Wed 26 Jun Reimaging Asia
Wed 28 Aug Professional education and global accounting
Wed 30 Oct Professional accounting bodies in the Asia Pacific
Events are free of charge and you are still awarded 1 CPD point for each session.
