English for Accounting and Finance Contest
To promote the recognition towards the important role of English in the Finance - Accounting field, ACCA Vietnam has collaborated with Smart Train and Cambridge ESOL Vietnam to organize the contest of English for Finance and ACcounting on January 31, 2010 at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH).
Candidates for this contests include all UEH's students majored in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Banking, and Business Administration. Estimatically, there will be around 300 participants joining the contest.
Supported by Cambridge ESOL, the contest's exam questions will be built based on the structure of the International Certificate of Financial English (ICFE), with 20% is general English, and 80% are professional.
The first prize are 2,000,000VND and a US$200 CAT or ICFE course. The second-prize winner will receive 1,000,000VND with a 150USD course for CAT or ICFE. The third prize includes 500,000VND and a 100USD ICFE or CAT course, while 10 vouchers of 20% for a CAT or ICFE course at Smart Train will be given to 10 consolation prizes.
Lasting from 7am to 11:30am, at Hall B322 of the UEH, 270 Nguyen Tri Phuong St., Dist. 10, HCMC, there will also be a seminar on cambridge ICFE program and the importance of English in the accounting and finance areas.
