Warner Johnston Appointed New Head of USA
The global body for professional accountants, ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has appointed Warner Johnston as its new Head of ACCA United States.
Warner’s role will focus on supporting the members in the USA while working in partnership with employers, government agencies and policy makers. This is the first time ACCA has appointed someone in this role which highlights the importance of the market to ACCA.
Warner is from a public relations/business marketing background, having worked for both New York City and New York State over the past ten years. Warner was recently highlighted as one of the Top Forty Under Forty in The Capitol newspaper.

He is well known in the public affairs sphere for building award-winning divisions as well as his ability to strengthen market footprint. Warner has also held the roles of Vice President of Public Affairs, NYS Empire State Development Corporation and Chief Spokesman/Director of Public Affairs at NYC Parks Department. He is also Co-Founder of Flacks & Hacks, a networking media organization with over 700 members.
Warner is well known for championing the development and launch of New York’s online business portal, Business First. He brings a wealth of experience in developing networks, and communicating across a wide range of stakeholders.
