The second issue of the Russian-language 16-page quarterly supplement Finance for Business, which is produced by ACCA for biggest business daily in Ukraine, Ekonomicheskie Izvestia, was published on 27 September 2010.

Following the big success of the previous issue, this issue focuses on the pressing issue for Ukrainian business and economy - proposed draft of the Tax Code, which will significantly impact businesses in Ukraine.

In particular, the key changes in tax legislation, as proposed in the Tax Code, are discussed. Also this issue features the report from the recent high-profile roundtable discussion "Tax Code: First Step of the Tax Reform", organized by ACCA and Ekonomicheskie Izvestia on 23 September 2010.

The supplement also features the following stories:

  • When co-pilot takes the controls. What CFO needs in order to become CEO?
  • Future of Ukraine is possible only with new generation of managers. Interview with Mykhailo Paliy, ACCA, Managing partner of ACI Ukraine, in which he tells why looking through finance lense, having a sound financial qualification is essential for any top manager.
  • Corporate and social reporting in Ukraine. Laura Garbenciute, FCCA, Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Ukraine, explores the current situation with CSR and sustainability reporting among businesses in Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
  • Time to align. This story explores the current developments in convergence of two major world's accounting and financial reporting systems - IFRS and US GAAP. Alla Savchenko, President of BDO Ukraine, also provides a view on relations of IFRS and Ukrainian accounting standards.
