New Companies Act 2008 and IFRS

Increased demand for ACCA certificate in IFRS

The new Companies Act 2008 requires that listed companies, public companies, state owned companies, public interest private companies and close corporations prepare company accounts that are consistent with International Financial reporting Standards (IFRS). Finance professionals not already familiar with the principles of IFRS will be faced with the challenge of developing a working knowledge of IFRS as quickly as possible.

ACCA has developed a CertIFRS to assist finance professionals to meet this new challenge.
