ACCA Poland supports the capital markets with best corporate governance practices
We are proud to inform you about a significant success that ACCA Poland Task Force members have achieved during the last weeks and present you ways you can participate, share and benefit from it.
ACCA Poland Task Force lead by Ilona Weiss in cooperation with The Polish Institute of Directors (PID) proposed for the first time in Poland The Audit Committees Best Practices. This set of guidelines and best practices is a highest unification of standards already exisiting in matured and developed global capital markets but applied to the Polish economy current stage of development.
The Audit Committees Best Practices were announced during Corporate Governance Conference on March 25, 2010 at the Warsaw Stock of Exchange and were promoted by Wieslaw Rozlucki, chairman of the Programming Council of the Polish Institute of Directors, founder and former president of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. This new initiative was well-received and recognized by the Polish capital market. The Audit Committees Best Practices can be find here.
The aim of The Audit Committees Best Practices is to give guidelines to the public companies in Poland rather than stating the law. This is significant step in building confidency and trust in the market and positioning our organization very close to the heart of finance.
We want to encourage you and to put your attention to the fact that it may be a challenging option also for you and all ACCA Poland members to participate in this initiative. More senior ACCA Members can present themselves as professional experts who can help public companies in setting the highest corporate governance rules and to benefit for themselves in gaining broad perspective and business experience.
