CFO of The Year 2009

Become the CFO of the Year 2009

Euler Hermes, the Forbes magazine and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) invite you to participate in the fifth edition of the CFO of the Year contest.

The contest is aimed at selecting the best CFOs who are distinguished by their effectiveness in volatile economic conditions as well as professionalism and ethics. Promoting and rewarding CFOs is particularly important in the times of recession. The previous year was a critical period and a practical test in enterprise management for executives. CFOs faced the challenge of maintaining liquidity in their companies, obtaining capital or managing the currency risk in the unstable economy.

In the anniversary edition of the contest the jury composed of experts, scientists, persons of public trust and active financiers will select the person whose decisions in 2009 had a significant impact on the company’s operation.

The jury will select the winners on the basis of the questionnaires sent and information gathered on the candidates and the institutions/companies for which they work. The main evaluation criteria will include: professional achievements, qualifications and education, contribution to the establishment of the company’s competitive position, the course of the professional career, the ability to overcome crises, professional reliability and ethics, experience in acquiring funds and economic performance of the company.

The course of the contest and works of the jury will be supervised by the auditor – Grant Thornton Frąckowiak Sp. z o.o.

In the previous editions of the contest the titles of the Chief Financial Officer of the Year were awarded to: Adam Pieniecki – York International, Karen Burgess – TVN, Krzysztof Zoła – Złomrex and Tadeusz Kozaczyński – Trakcja Polska.

Participation in the contest is free of charge and does not result in any obligations on your part. Applications will be accepted until 5 March. Names of the winners will be announced on 28 April 2010 in Warsaw during a gala held at the Congress of CFOs. The application questionnaire and the rules and regulations are available at www.dyrektorfinansowyroku.pl.

Kind Regards,

ACCA Poland
