Platinum for Sunway Kuching

Sunway College Kuching (SCK) is now an ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Approved Learning Partner-Student Tuition, Platinum Status. The college also became the first and only tuition provider in East Malaysia to receive this prestigious accolade, the highest and most prestigious level of approval granted by ACCA to its learning providers.

SCK's outstanding achievements in the June and December 2010 examination sittings meant that it had met ACCA's criteria to be upgraded from Gold to Platinum status.

With this accomplishment, SCK joins the ranks of Sunway-TES as yet another Sunway institution to be accorded the distinction of being an ACCA's Approved Learning Partner-Student Tuition, Platinum Status.  The Platinum Status is well-recognized not only in Malaysia but also globally.

SCK has consistently demonstrated its ability to produce high pass rates and high test scores for CAT and ACCA external exams. The college has also consistently produced World and Malaysian prize-winners. To date, the college has garnered two World Prize Winners and 16 Malaysian Prize Winners in CAT and ACCA external exams.

In his speech at the event, Mr Devanesan Evanson, President of ACCA Malaysia Advisory Committee said, 'Carlos Slim Helu, Mexico's telecom tycoon and this year's world richest man according to Forbes Magazine, has been known to say time and again that you can't do it all yourself, you have to form alliances. ACCA could not agree more with this premise. Partnerships are crucially important to ACCA. Strategic and valuable partneships such as that with Sunway College Kuching, is one the foundation behind ACCA's ability to continue to flourish and produce qualified ACCA graduates with talent, drive and ambition in Malaysia. These graduates-armed with accounting and finance knowledge, skills and professional values needed by all organisations regardless of sector or country-are a testament to the power of collaborative partnership and are the best advertisement that both ACCA and Sunway College Kuching could possibly have'.
