IFRS 2008/9 - Strategic direction and practical interpretation

Special discount available to ACCA members

10 Oct 2008

The annual IFRS conference featuring Sir David Tweedie has established itself as a major forum for debate on corporate reporting. It provides a comprehensive package of insight, information and discussion of all the issues affecting the financial reporting community - the preparers of accounts and all those who advise them.

IFRS 2008/9, which will take place on 12 November at the Hotel Russell in London, will focus on the revised and new standards, global implementation and the notable steps towards IFRS being taken in the US. All these against the background of acute economic uncertainty will prove a major challenge for finance teams.

As well as addressing that challenge directly, the conference will provide an opportunity for standard-setters and regulators to present their current thinking, and will feature informed analyst, legal and valuation perspectives. IFRS 2008/9 will also offer insight from Deloitte's leading IFRS experts and a panel presentation that will examine the key changes from a corporate perspective.

From the opening dialogue with Sir David Tweedie, right through to the concluding panel with ACCA and the FRRP, this event will provide the relevant A-list experts, with advice and insight to help chart the way ahead.

A special discount is available for ACCA members - please see the IFRS 2008/9 website FRS 2008/9 website - opens in a new window and order form on the agenda PDF document - opens in a new window.
