Accounting and Business relaunch

Further regionalisation of the magazine planned in 2009

ACCA has relaunched Accounting and Business, its magazine for business and finance professionals.

From January 2009, there is a dedicated version for the UK, ACCA's largest market. In addition, the Asia Pacific edition originally launched in January 2006 has been further developed and now features enhanced content from local sources.

Further regionalisation of the magazine is planned in 2009.

Explaining the objectives behind the magazine's revamp, Chris Quick, the new editor of Accounting and Business, said: 'Editorially, we are aiming to make the magazine more useful and relevant to members. The emphasis is on intelligent, insightful writing.

'There is also greater focus on people, with more interviews and case studies - both short and long - as well as new sections dedicated to practitioners, accountants working in business, smaller firms, the public sector and financial services. The magazine is retaining its more heavyweight technical content, along with its focus on helping members with their CPD.'

Visually, Accounting and Business takes on a more cutting-edge look and feel, with a contemporary design making greater use of graphics and pictures.

'We want to create the best possible magazine for ACCA members,' said Chris. 'The credit crunch means many are facing significant challenges and the provision of relevant good quality well-presented information has never been more important.'
