Your new website

A guide to accaglobal.com

16 Jan 2007

Welcome to your new accaglobal.com.

ACCA's new website represents the first major change we have made to the design of accaglobal.com in over three years. In that time the volume of resources and information on the site has almost doubled and in order for us to ensure that we can continue to provide you with the information you need, we have made a number of changes to design, structure and navigation.

Before we started building this new website, we made sure that we consulted with our users. Last year, we conducted an extensive online survey to find out what improvements you would like to see on accaglobal.com, and many of your suggestions were incorporated into the new design. We also undertook some user testing - conducting focus groups with ACCA members and students to help us to plan how things could be improved.

All of our research has resulted in a range of improvements, including:

Navigation and structure

Better organisation of content and the provision of new navigation methods for all audience types. These will help you to quickly identify where to find the information you are looking for. The way we have structured the content reflects some of the suggestions made by you as well as suggestions made to us by industry usability experts.

Search and sitemap

Improvements to our sitemap and our search engine - now powered by Google technology - also help you to find the information you need more quickly.

Design

The clean new look and feel reflects ACCA's new visual identity - which works well with our new structure and navigation.

Accessibility

Our site now meets 'AA' standards for accessibility - in line with the World Wide Web Consortium's global internet standards.

News and features

At every level of the site you will now find up to date news which is relevant to you. We will also feature overviews of our products and services which support you in your studies, practical experience or career management.

Related documents and See alsos

If the page you are viewing has any forms or supporting documentation that you can print out, you will find these on the sidebar under 'Related documents'. If the page contains any useful links - either to other sections of our site, or third-party websites - these will appear on the sidebar under 'See also'.

We don't expect you to find everything on the new site for yourselves though! You may find the guides below useful for getting you started with your new website:

  • What's in the students and affiliates' channel
  • What's in the members' channel
  • What's in the employers' channel
  • What's in the learning providers' channel
  • What's in the public interest channel
